The last restaurant I worked at, we served alot of steaks, but also served a lot of good pizzas too. Here is one I came up with. We always bought the pre-formed, thin, pizza crusts, but you could also use home made crusts, just cook about 10 minutes before applying toppings, first.

prep time 15 Min
cook time 20 Min
method Bake
yield 8 - 12 slices

Ingredients

  • 1 large thin crust pizza dough, prepared
  • 1/2 cup cattleman's original bbq sauce, divided
  • 1 cup italian sausage, precooked, like normally found on pizzas
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked & sliced
  • 1 cup shredded pizza mix cheese blend (mozzerella & cheddar)

How To Make restaurant bbq pizza

  • Step 1
Preheat oven to 425° . If using homemade pizza dough, bake about 10 minutes before spreading BBQ sauce on pizza, as thin or thick as you like it. I find it has a better flavor if you go thinner with it, reserving enough to drizzle on top of pizza.
  • Step 2
Next, arrange sausage on pizza. This is the type you normally find on pizzas. You can either buy Italian sausage prepared already or buy bulk Italian sausage and fry it first and drain it thoroughly. I like it a little chunkier.
  • Step 3
    Next, layer bacon on.
  • Step 4
Next, put the amount of cheese on you like. Again, on this pizza, I find that less is more.(FLAVOR)
  • Step 5
Then take more BBQ sauce & drizzle one way over top & turn pizza 1/4 turn & drizzle over pizza that way, like plaids design.
  • Step 6
Bake at 425° for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted & pizza is slightly brown.
