real italian meatballs

everybody loves my meatballs. delicious ! i brought them to potlucks and there never is any leftovers .. they are easy to make too. just delicious !!!!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup parmigiano-reggiano, grated
  • 3 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups italian bread crumbs
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons italian parsley chopped

How To Make real italian meatballs

  • Step 1
    in large bowl , mix ground beef, ground pork and all ingredients.
  • Step 2
    make balls rolling the meat in your hands. in a medium sauce pot , add olive oil and fry the meatballs . you are not cooking them all the way, by frying them. just brown them good . they will finish cooking in the tomato sauce .
  • Step 3
    for the sauce you can follow the my marinara sauce direction. the only difference here is that , you are going to saute' onions and garlic in the same oil , you fried the meatball. to make this sauce you are going to use 2 or 3 big cans of tomatoes instead just i can.
  • Step 4
    after you start sauce , you drop the meatballs in and let it cook at medium heat for 35 to 40 minutes or until meatballs are cooked through. it's very tasty .. enjoy !!!!!!!
