Although its more of a take on Baked Ziti, our family loves using "pizza toppings" in this dish. You can omit or add "toppings" to your preference. I don't typically measure while I cook, so when I made this for dinner tonight I got approx. what I put in. Hope you enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces choice of pasta, cooked according to box directions
  • 2 15oz jars pizza sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 3 small button mushrooms, sliced thin
  • 1/4 medium onion, diced
  • 1/3 cup green pepper, diced
  • 3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 - 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

How To Make pizza casserole

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step 2
Cook pasta according to package directions so it is just barely under cooked. In a large mixing bowl, stir together 2 cans of pizza sauce, water, spices, 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, pepperoni and vegetables.
  • Step 3
Drain pasta and stir it into the bowl of sauce mix until completely coated. Pour into a large greased baking dish. Sprinkle 1 1/2 - 2 cups shredded Mozzarella and remaining Parmesan cheeses on top. Bake approx 15-20 minutes, or until cheese is completely melted and pasta is done.
