pizza by the yard
Everybody loved this one...we have a family of 6, so this made enough to feed the whole family plus some left overs. Next time I want to add mushrooms, or even we could make it a "hawaiian" kind (just top with deli ham slices, pineapple, and Mozzarella cheese). mmmm :) Leftovers (if there are any....) are pretty good too!! *I served this with Salad

Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup sliced olives
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 12 ounces tomato paste
- 2 teaspoons oregano, dried
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 - french bread loaves, cut lengthwise
- 6 medium tomatoes, sliced thin
- 4 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
How To Make pizza by the yard

Step 1cook hamburger in large skillet, drain

Step 2add chopped onion to skillet with hamburger, cook until onions are slightly tender.

Step 3In lg bowl: mix olives, parm. cheese, tomato paste, oregano, salt & pepper.

Step 4add contents in bowl to the skillet with the hamburger. heat until heated through.

Step 5lay the french bread halves, cut side facing up, onto two baking sheets. spread the hamburger mix evenly over the tops, all the way to the edges of the bread. (this keeps the edges from burning while broiling)

Step 6place under broiler about 3-5 min, then remove

Step 7top with tomato slices and mozzarella cheese, sprinkle with xtra oregano (optional)

Step 8broil another 3 min or until cheese is melted and starting to brown.
