- 1 pound penne or ziti
- 1 - small onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1 can petite diced tomatoes (14 oz.)
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/8 cup vodka
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
How To Make pasta in vodka sauce

Step 1Prepare penne according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large, well-oiled skillet over medium-high heat, sauté onion for 5 minutes or until translucent. Add minced garlic; sauté 1 minute.

Step 2Add tomatoes and sugar, reduce heat to medium and simmer for 20 minutes. Add vodka; season with salt and pepper and cook for 1 – 2 minutes. Add cream and cook just until heated through. In a large bowl, combine pasta and sauce.
