Ingredients
- 1 pound rigatoni
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic/crushed
- - butter /for pan
- - kosher salt /fresh cracked pepper
- 1 cup fresh parmesan
- 8 ounces shredded mozzarella
How To Make pasta cake

Step 1In a large pot of salted boiling water;cook pasta until slightly underdone 9about 12 minutes)Use a large pot so the pasta doesn't stick together.When done,rinse in cold water and drain again.Toss pasta with one tablespoon of olive oil to coat;set aside.

Step 2Heat remaining 1 tblsp. oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef.Cook,stirring occassionally until browned.Add garlic,salt and pepper to taste.Cook two more minutes.

Step 3Add the crushed tomatoes;smmer until thickened.{about 20 minutes)

Step 4Toss the cooked pasta with the Parmesan cheese.

Step 5Butter a 9 inch SPRINGFORM PAN ;Tightly pack pasta into pan,standing each piece on end. Spread meat sauce on top of pasta.

Step 6BAKE:at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Sprinkle mozzarella on top and bake another 10=15 minutes until the cheese is golden.

Step 7Remove from the oven.Let stand for 15 minutes.Run a knife around the edge to loosen.UNMOLD. Cut into wedges and serve.
