My Mother was a great cook. She loved to make new and different things. We were eating Chinese and Italian before any of my friends knew what that was. In grade school, we'd talk about what we had for dinner last night. The other kids would tell about fried chicken and jello. My Mom would have made Shrimp Newberg, Chop Suey, Chicken Catchatori or her wonderful Spaghetti and her double chocolate pie with high peaked meringue for dessert.

Ingredients
- 1 lb. box spaghetti
- 2 pounds ground round
- 1 medium yellow onion chopped
- 2 cans spaghetti sauce
- 2 cans tomato paste (small)
- 2 cans diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 packages zesty spaghetti sauce mix
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
How To Make not your nona's spagetti

Step 1Place ground round in bottom of slow cooker. Separate with fork. Add remaining ingredients and stir. Cover and cook on high for 4 hours.

Step 2Follow direction on box for cooking spaghetti and drain.

Step 3Mix sauce and cooked spaghetti in large pasta bowl and serve.
