Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon brewer's yeast
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 1/4 cup thin sliced green bell pepper
- 1/4 cup thin sliced red or white onion
- 1/4 cup cooked italian sausage
- 1 cup mixed cheeses (i use grated parm/cheddar and fontina)
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
How To Make nonna rosa's homemade pizza

Step 1In large mixing bowl combine yeast and sugar and warm water. Let sit for 3 minutes then add olive oil and flour and mix to form dough. Cover lightly with towel and set aside.

Step 2Thin chop vegetables and grate cheeses. Remove dough from bowl and shape on baking stone or pizza pan into 12-14 inch circle. Stretch dough thin for a crisper crust.

Step 3Top dough circle with marinara sauce/veggies and meat then top this with cheeses. Can sprinkle a dash of garic/basil or oregano on top for extra flavor. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees. Crust will rise and cheese will bubble and turn golden. Enjoy!
