  • 2 lb
    ground beef
  • 6
    italian sausage, sweet uncased and broken up
  • 1 large
    diced onion
  • 8 oz can(s)
    sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1/2 large
    diced green pepper
  • 2 can(s)
    diced tomatoes with juice
  • 6 oz can(s)
    tomato paste
  • 12 oz
    tomato sauce
  • 3 lg clove
    garlic, diced
  • 1 lb box
    elbows cooked according to directions and put aside to add last minute.
  • 1/2 tsp
    paprica,italian seasonings,salt, pepper, sugar, and parm. cheese to taste. use more if you like, make it your own!

How to Make My Goulash


  1. Brown meats, drain. Place in dutch oven.
  2. Saute onion, garlic, mushrooms and green pepper until soft. Add to dutch oven.
  3. Add seasonings and of course the cans of tomato paste and sauce to dutch oven and simmer for 45 minutes. Add drained elbows at the last minute or pasta will become mushy. Does not freeze well with pasta, can freeze w/o the elbows till you are ready to use.
