Ingredients
- 2 pounds extra lean ground beef**
- 1 can (large) hunts tomato sauce
- 1 can hunts petite diced tomatoes
- 1 can hunts tomato paste
- 1 large onion, minced
- 1 large bell pepper, minced
- 1 - rib of celery, minced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (not garlic salt)
- 2 tablespoons ground oregano
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano leaves
- 1 tablespoon dried basil leaves
- 2 - bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon fiesta chili mix (optional)
- 1 teaspoon italian seasoning (optional)
- 1 tablespoon sea salt

Step 1** You may substitute 1# ground beef and 1# Italian sausage (or 2# italian sausage) In a large skillet or dutch oven, sear meat, onions, bell peppers and celery.Add garlic powder, salt & pepper to taste, mixing well

Step 2Add tomato sauce & paste, tomatoes, and 4 tomato sauce cans of water to meat mixture Add spices and stir well

Step 3Reduce heat to barely simmering and simmer for at least 30 minutes to get full body of spices. You may have to add additional water or spices to taste. Stir frequently to avoid sticking

Step 4Serve over any kind of pasta (Penne is our favorite) Sprinkle with fresh grated parmesan cheese Good with toasted garlic bread and crisp green salad.
