Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound pork, ground
- 1 - onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 - green bell pepper, diced
- 3 - garlic cloves, minced
- 5 cups crushed tomatoes
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 2 teaspoons basil
- 1/2 teaspoon cloves
- 3 - bay leaf
- 2 cups chicken stock
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
How To Make meat sauce for spaghetti

Step 1Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 2Add beef, pork, onion, green pepper and garlic and saute until browned, about 10 minutes.

Step 3With a slotted spoon to drain off the fat, place the sauteed ingredients in a 4 quart saucepan.

Step 4Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.

Step 5Slowly bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 2 hours.
