This was a yummy dish that my mother made growing up. My father did not like Ricotta cheese in his lasagna, so my mother came up with this one. It's always requested at potlucks.

Ingredients For mary jean's lasagna

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 bottle
    spaghetti sauce
  • 1/2
    finely chopped onion
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1/8 tsp
    salt
  • 1 dash
    of pepper
  • 1 can
    cheddar cheese soup
  • 1 box
    lasagna noodles
  • 3 1/2 c
    shredded mozzarela cheese
  • parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp
    italian seasoning

How To Make mary jean's lasagna

    Preheat oven to 375. Add hamburger meat to pan along with garlic, salt and pepper. Brown and drain. Set aside.

    Boil lasagna noodles according to directions. Drain and set aside.

    For sauce: Combine spaghetti sauce and cheddar cheese soup in a saucepan; add 1/2 t. of Italian Seasoning. Add hamburger to sauce and set aside.

    In a 13 by 9 inch baking pan, place a small amount of the sauce in the bottom of a lightly sprayed pan. Line noodles on top of sauce. Add more sauce and top with mozzarela cheese. Continue doing these layers making certain to end with sauce and cheese. Sprinkle top with Parmesan cheese. Cook for 25 min. or until top is bubbly and golden brown. Let sit for 15 minutes.
