lori's spaghetti sauce

If your like me, there are those day's when cooking can become a chore. One thing my husband doesn't like being cheated out on is good taste. I came up with this recipe not only because it's tasty, but it's very quick to throw together. This recipe makes 4 to 6 servings, so if you have a bigger crowd, just double the recipe. I think you'll be surprised at the flavor!

Ingredients

  • 3 cans diced tomatoes w/garlic&olive oil (14.5 oz cans)
  • 1 medium onions, yellow, medium
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons basil leaves
  • 1 can mushrooms (4 oz)
  • 1 package sweet italian sauage
  • 1 package mccormick spagheti sauce mix
  • 1 package shredded mozzarella cheese

How To Make lori's spaghetti sauce

  • Step 1
    On low heat, add 3 cans diced tomatoes in sauce pan. Add chopped onion, balsamic vinegar,olive oil, basil leaves, and mushrooms.
  • Step 2
    Cut sausage links into 1" pieces and add to sauce. Let simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
  • Step 3
    Add McCormick spaghetti sauce mix. This will thicken your sauce. Simmer for 30 minutes more and your ready to serve!
  • Step 4
    Top it off with shredded Mozzarella cheese when you serve it.
