Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 large onion
- 2 large carrots
- 2 sticks celery ribs
- 2 sprigs thyme, leaves
- 2 sprigs oregano, dried
- 2 sprigs basil
- 2 large bay leaves
- 2 cans crushe tomatoes (large cans)
- 1 can sm can tomato paste
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch paprika
- 2 cloves crushed cloves
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, extra virgin
- 1 cup good quality red wine

Step 1In food processor chop onions,celery,carrots, and garlic together. In a big pot saute items you just chopped for a minute or two.

Step 2Add ground sirloin and pork the pot and brown the meat. As you brown the meat add all the herbs to the meat. Add cup of red wine to the meat and simmer for a few minutes.

Step 3Stir in the tomato paste and crushed tomatoes. Continue to stir in butter just before serving.
