I am always looking for new Italian Dishes to cook. I came a cross an Italian Sub Casserole Recipe that sounded good, then made some upgrades to turn it into my own creation. Friends love this and all of my Italian or Family Dishes.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound italian sausage, mild
  • 1 package mini pepperoni rounds
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon basil, dried
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • to taste - salt and pepper
  • 2 cups stuffing mix, herb-seasoned
  • 1 package 8oz sargento's artisian blend mozzarella and provolone cheese

How To Make italian sub casserole

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook ground beef and italian sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until well browned. Stir frequently to break up the meat. Pour off any fat.
  • Step 2
    Stir the soup and water into the skillet with the meat, then add the seasonings. Mix well then add the pepperoni and let everything become warm and well blended.
  • Step 3
    Next pour the mixture into a 13x9x2 baking dish. Add the stuffing and stir to mix together well. Sprinkle with cheese and a little more basil. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
