Ingredients

  • 2 c
    cooked white rice
  • 4 tsp
    extra virgin olive oil
  • 5 clove
    finely chopped garlic
  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 4 c
    pasta sauce - i prefer homemade
  • 1 c
    parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 c
    mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 3
    beaten eggs
  • 1 c
    italian bread crumbs
  • 1 c
    panko bread crumbs
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Italian Boudin Balls

Step-by-Step

  1. Cook rice and set aside. Saute garlic in olive oil, add ground meat, cook until browned. Drain off excess grease.
  2. Mix rice, meat, salt & pepper and 1 cup of pasta sauce in large bowl. Add cheeses and mix well.
    Gently form mixture into 2" balls. Place on cookie sheet and refrigerate until cold. About 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven to 350*F. Mix both bread crumbs together. Dip balls in beaten egg then bread crumbs, making sure they are coated well. Place on baking sheet and bake until crispy. About 30 minutes. Serve with the remaining heated pasta sauce.
