Got this from a friend, Carol France...she's a good cook and came up with this one on her own. It's good on a cold day...

Ingredients

  • 1 pound hot sausage, bulk style
  • 3 (14 oz.) cans beef broth
  • 1 (29 oz.) can diced tomatoes w/juice
  • 3-4 - carrots, sliced
  • 2 - onions, sliced
  • 1/4 - cabbage head, chopped, optional
  • 1 package cheese tortellini, optional

How To Make hot sausage soup

  • Step 1
    Brown sausage, break up into crumbles. Drain.
  • Step 2
    Combine all ingredients together in kettle and cook 45-60 minutes, or until vegetables are tender. Can also be cooked in crockpot on 'low' for 4-6 hrs.
  • Step 3
    Good with crusty bread!
