This sauce is awesome, rivaling some of the best Italian restaurants. Whenever, I have friends over for dinner at my house this is always the request.

    ground
  • 1 qt
    home canned tomatos
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1
    onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    oregano
  • 1/4 tsp
    basil
  • 1
    6oz can tomato paste
  • 1 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    sugar
  • 1
    bayleaf
  • ·
    mostacioli noodles
  • ·
    mozzarella cheese
  • ·
    parmesan cheese

How to Make Homemade Mostacioli

Step-by-Step

  1. Drain and puree tomatos, then add all the ingredients in a large pot, (do not brown the ground beef first). Then sprinkle some italian seasoning over the pot.
  2. Bring to a low boil, turn down heat to simmer, stirring occasionally. Let simmer for an hour and it's ready
  3. Boil Mostacioli noodles according to package, pour sauce over noodles, you can sprinkle some mozzrella and parmesean cheese over it if you like
