This sauce is awesome, rivaling some of the best Italian restaurants. Whenever, I have friends over for dinner at my house this is always the request.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground
  • 1 quart home canned tomatos
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon basil
  • 1 - 6oz can tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 - bayleaf
  • - mostacioli noodles
  • - mozzarella cheese
  • - parmesan cheese

How To Make homemade mostacioli

  • Step 1
    Drain and puree tomatos, then add all the ingredients in a large pot, (do not brown the ground beef first). Then sprinkle some italian seasoning over the pot.
  • Step 2
    Bring to a low boil, turn down heat to simmer, stirring occasionally. Let simmer for an hour and it's ready
  • Step 3
    Boil Mostacioli noodles according to package, pour sauce over noodles, you can sprinkle some mozzrella and parmesean cheese over it if you like
