This sauce is awesome, rivaling some of the best Italian restaurants. Whenever, I have friends over for dinner at my house this is always the request.

Ingredients

1 lb
ground
1 qt
home canned tomatos
1 tsp
salt

onion, chopped
1 tsp
garlic powder
1/4 tsp
oregano
1/4 tsp
basil

6oz can tomato paste
1 tsp
pepper
1 1/2 tsp
sugar
1
bayleaf
mostacioli noodles
mozzarella cheese
parmesan cheese

How to Make Homemade Mostacioli

Step-by-Step

  • 1Drain and puree tomatos, then add all the ingredients in a large pot, (do not brown the ground beef first). Then sprinkle some italian seasoning over the pot.
  • 2Bring to a low boil, turn down heat to simmer, stirring occasionally. Let simmer for an hour and it's ready
  • 3Boil Mostacioli noodles according to package, pour sauce over noodles, you can sprinkle some mozzrella and parmesean cheese over it if you like
