herb cheese bread
(1 RATING)
Our family doesn't even eat the plain garlic bread. This is handed down from our Italian neighbors in the 60's.

How To Make herb cheese bread
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 400 F. Slice bread in 3/4" slices. Mix 1/4 c. parmesan with butter and herbs, set aside remaining cheese. Spread herb butter on one side of each slice of bread. As you spread, reassemble into a loaf shape. Lay loaf on a long piece of tin foil. Bring foil up along sides and pinch ends to make a "canoe" of foil. Spread top of loaf with some of the herb butter. Sprinkle remaining grated cheese on buttered top. Bake 10-15 minutes until cheese is a golden brown. Enjoy! Butter keeps well in fridge.
