Ingredients
- TOMATO SAUCE
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 - carrots, chopped
- 2 - celery stalks, chopped
- 1 large yellow onion, chopped
- 1/2 - green pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 3 cups canned tomato sauce
- 3/4 cup beef stock (1 1/2 teas. beef bouillion cubes with 3/4 cup water)
- 3/4 cup red wine
- 1 teaspoon rosemary
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 tablespoon lemon peel, chopped
- - salt and pepper to taste
How To Make gourmet spaghetti - part 3 - tomato sauce

Step 1Saute carrots, celery, onion, green pepper and garlic in oil until lightly colored. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer altogether, covered for 1 hr. (For regular spaghetti sauce: Add 1 lb. hamburger and 2-3 links of Italian sausage)

Step 2Serve Gourmet Spaghetti over cooked spaghetti noodles and top with fresh shredded or grated parmesan cheese.
