1 c

2 tsp

1 1/2 tsp
1 tsp
fresh ground pepper, or whatever pepper you use

How to Make Fettuccine - Plain And Simple

  • 1Prepare pasta according to package directions
  • 2While pasta is cooking; in a medium saucepan, on medium heat; saute the garlic in a tablespoon of oil, just long enough to extract flavor, do not burn.
  • 3Add the 3 cups of cream, bring to a simmer, add the paprika, nutmeg, salt, pepper and Parmesan cheese, stirring constantly as so not to scorch.

Continue simmering until sauce starts to thicken ( about 10 - 15 minutes ). It may seem too thin, but will thicken as it starts to cool down. If you want it thicker just add some more Parmesan.
  • 4When pasta is finished cooking, drain well. I add a small amount of olive oil and toss.

Plate your pasta; ladle sauce over the pasta, sprinkle with more Parmesan cheese and scallions..

**I don't rinse my pasta, the sauce will adhere better if not rinsed.
  • 5You can add chicken, mushrooms, peppers, whatever you like..we were just in the mood for simple..
