I like to take a recipe, try it once, and then adjust it to make it my own. This is the end result of such an experiment. This pizza is made in a 9x13 pan. Will feed several people. When I think about it, this would be really good with chicken and your favorite alfrredo sauce.

How to Make Deep Dish Pizza

  1. Cook and break up Italian sausage. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Meanwhile, put frozen meatballs and pizza sauce (both cans) in large microwavable bowl. Heat in microwave 5-8 minuted, until sauce is bubbly, and meatballs are thawed. Stir in Parmesan cheese, pepperoni, and Italian sausage.
  3. Spray 9x13 pan with cooking spray. Unroll one can of garlic bread sticks. Place in bottom of pan. If necessary, stretch to cover bottom. Press seams to seal. Pour meat mixture over crust. Sprinkle with a little more Parmesan cheese if desired. Unroll second can of bread sticks. Place on top of meat mixture. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes, or until edges are brown, and no longer doughy. Top with pizza blend cheese. Bake an additional 4-5 minutes to melt cheese.Let stand 5-10 minutes before serving.
