crock-pot spaghetti sauce

I can't remember for sure where I got this recipe from...I think from a cookbook. Alot of times...I will not put it in the crock-pot..will just use a big pot to cook the sauce in. Also I have been known to add 1/2 lb browned ground meat to it too...yummy~

Ingredients
- 1 pound italian sausage
- 1 - onion-chopped
- 2 cans petite cut tomatoes
- 8 ounces tomato sauce
- 6 ounces tomato paste
- 1 - bay leaf
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
- - vermecelli pasta-cooked
How To Make crock-pot spaghetti sauce

Step 1Uncase the Italian sausage and roll into small balls. Brown in a skillet. Add onion, cook until tender. Drain off grease.

Step 2Add all ingredients except vermecelli to the crock-pot {or if cooking on stove top...to a large pot}. Stirring well.

Step 3Serve over hot cooked pasta. I use vermecelli~
