I can't remember for sure where I got this recipe from...I think from a cookbook.
Alot of times...I will not put it in the crock-pot..will just use a big pot to cook the sauce in.
Also I have been known to add 1/2 lb browned ground meat to it too...yummy~

italian sausage
2 can(s)
petite cut tomatoes
8 oz
tomato sauce
6 oz
tomato paste
bay leaf
1 Tbsp
brown sugar
2 tsp
minced garlic
1 tsp
dried basil
1 tsp
dried oregano
1 tsp
1/2 tsp
vermecelli pasta-cooked

How to Make Crock-Pot Spaghetti Sauce


  • 1Uncase the Italian sausage and roll into small balls. Brown in a skillet. Add onion, cook until tender. Drain off grease.
  • 2Add all ingredients except vermecelli to the crock-pot {or if cooking on stove a large pot}. Stirring well.
  • 3Serve over hot cooked pasta. I use vermecelli~
