I can't remember for sure where I got this recipe from...I think from a cookbook. Alot of times...I will not put it in the crock-pot..will just use a big pot to cook the sauce in. Also I have been known to add 1/2 lb browned ground meat to it too...yummy~

Ingredients

  • 1 pound italian sausage
  • 1 - onion-chopped
  • 2 cans petite cut tomatoes
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • 6 ounces tomato paste
  • 1 - bay leaf
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt

How To Make crock-pot spaghetti sauce

  • Step 1
Uncase the Italian sausage and roll into small balls. Brown in a skillet. Add onion, cook until tender. Drain off grease.
  • Step 2
Add all ingredients except vermecelli to the crock-pot {or if cooking on stove top...to a large pot}. Stirring well.
  • Step 3
Serve over hot cooked pasta. I use vermecelli~
