Ingredients
- 6 - chicken pieces
- 1 - bell pepper, cleaned and sliced into rings
- 1 - large sweet onion clised into rings
- 1 can crushed tomatoes
- 1/4 cup deep red wine (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano, dried
- 1/4 teaspoon basil, dried
- 1/2 teaspoon dried crushed garlic (fresh can be used)
- 1/2 can tomatoe paste
- 1 pound pasta of choice
- - water, boiling
How To Make chicken cacciatore

Step 1Prepare pepper and onion. Place in a deep frying pan

Step 2Slowly Saute the peppers and onion till tender and translucent. Remove from pan

Step 3Add another 2 Tablespoons to the pan. Clean chicken of all fat. Quick fry the chicken till lightly brown

Step 4Add the peppers and onions, cover with crushed tomatoes and add the spices. Simmer for 1 hour

Step 5Bring the water to a boil, salt liberally and cook the pasta.

Step 6Server the Chicken Cacciatore over the pasta and put the grated Romano over the top. Serve with a salad.
