Ingredients

  • 1.25 cups warm beer
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • FILLING INGREDIENTS
  • 4 - roma tomatoes, diced
  • 3 - minced garlic clove
  • - fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 1 - chicken breast, cooked and chopped
  • - grated parmesan cheese
  • - feta cheese crumbles

How To Make calzones

  • Step 1
    Choose your favorite method for making dough.
  • Step 2
    While you\'re waiting, combine the tomatoes, garlic and basil, and set aside.
  • Step 3
    Divide the dough into two balls, and roll one into a circle about 12\" in diameter.
  • Step 4
    Layer half of the circle with parmesan cheese, chicken, tomato mixture, and a liberal dose of crumbled feta.
  • Step 5
    Fold crust over and seal the edges.
  • Step 6
    Repeat with other half of dough.
  • Step 7
    Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes.
  • Step 8
    When done, brush the crusts with melted butter, and enjoy.
  • Step 9
    This makes two good-sized calzones.
