I learned how to make lasagna from my mom. I've just made a few tweaks and made it my own.

Ingredients

  • 2 can(s)
    large cans tomato sauce (29 oz)
  • 2 can(s)
    small cans tomato paste
  • 2 lb
    ricotta cheese
  • 4 medium
    tomato cut into wedges
  • 1 medium
    onion sliced
  • 8 oz
    fresh mushrooms sliced
  • 1 medium
    green bell peppers sliced
  • 1 lb
    hot italian sausage
  • 2
    bay leaves
  • 1 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1 c
    red wine (optional)
  • 1 clove
    minced garlic
  • 1 tsp
    italian seasoning
  • 1 lb
    lasagna noodles, cooked
  • 1 lb
    grated or sliced mozzarella cheese.

How to Make Bob's best lasgna

Step-by-Step

  1. Add tomato sauce, small cans tomato paste, tomato cut wedges, onion, mushrooms, green bell peppers, sausage,bay leaves, sugar, red wine, garlic and italian seasoning into slow cooker. Cook on low approximately 6 hours.
  2. Cook noodles to desired texture. In 9 X 13 baking pan layer noodles, ricotta cheese, sauce, mozarella cheese
  3. Pre heat oven to 350 f. Bake lasagna about 45-60 mins. Let rest 15-20 mins. before serving.
