baked ziti casserole
After making lasagna, I had some of the cheese mixture left over. I threw it in with some Ziti and spaghetti sauce and found it was delicious. So, this is a full casserole, that often is too much for just my fiance and I, but here you go.

Ingredients
- 1 package ziti or penne pasta
- 1 - egg
- 1 package (15 oz) part skim ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 1/2 jars meatless spaghetti sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 pound ground italian sausage - mild
- 1/2 pound lean ground
- 6 cloves garlic
How To Make baked ziti casserole

Step 1Cook pasta. Mince the Garlic, brown sausage and ground. Drain. Put sausage and ground in bowl and cover with spaghetti sauce. In small bowl, combine the egg, ricotta and ¼ cup Parmesan cheese.

Step 2Spread 1 cup of spaghetti sauce in 13x9 baking dish. Top with a third of pasta, half the ricotta mixture, 2/3’s of mozzarella cheese, 1 tbsp of parm and 1 cup of sauce. Repeat layers. Mix with spoon. Final layer is sauce.

Step 3Cover and bake at 375 for 45-50 minutes.
