easy to make for church supper. tastes even better the next day I have tried this with ground turkey and with hamburg

Ingredients

  • 1 pound italian sausage
  • 1 - green pepper, chopped
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 1 pound can tomatoes
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 can (6oz) tomato paste
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 1/2 pound mozzeralla cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese

How To Make baked macaroni and sausage

  • Step 1
    Remove sausage from casing, and crumble. In skillet, fry sausage meat until crumbly. add peppers and onions saute for 5 minutes. DO NOT DRAIN.Stir in tomatoes, water and paste. Simmer, stirring occasionally for 10 minutes. Remove from heat, salt and pepper to taste/
  • Step 2
    Cook macaroni and drain. Layer macaroni and mozzarella in 9 X 13" pan, ending with macaroni. Pour sauce over top and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Bake at 400*oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
