Ingredients
- 1/4 pound butter
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped bell pepper
- 1 cup diced celery
- 2 cups chopped canned tomatoes
- 1 cup tomato puree
- 2 - bay leaves
- 3 pounds peeled, deveined shrimp
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 2 cups water
- - juice of 1 lemon
- - salt and pepper to taste
- - cayenne pepper to taste
How To Make shrimp creole

Step 1Melt butter, saute peppers, onions, shallots, and celery for 5 minutes.

Step 2Add tomato puree and bay leaves and simmer for 15 minutes. Add shrimp and simmer for 15 minutes.

Step 3Dissolve cornstarch in water and stir in. Simmer 5 minutes. Add lemon and season to taste. Simmer 15 minutes.

Step 4Serve over long grain rice, and with warm french bread
