    1 inch thick slices french bread
  • 5
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    half & half ( or whole milk )
  • 1/3 c
    mango juice
  • 1/2 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 2 tsp
    sugar
  • 2 tsp
    orange zest
  • 1/3 c
    macadamia nuts, chopped
  • 4 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 c
    maple syrup

How to Make Mango Macadamia Nut French Toast

Step-by-Step

  1. In a medium size bowl combine eggs, half & half, mango juice, nutmeg, sugar and orange zest. Whisk until well combined.
  2. In a small skillet place chopped macadamia nuts, cook over medium-high heat until lightly toasted. Remove, set aside.
  3. Heat griddle. Dip bread into egg mixture; coat well. Place on hot griddle.
  4. Cook for 3-4 minutes until golden, turn bread over, cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  5. Place French toast on a platter. Sprinkle with toasted macadamia nuts. Top with sliced strawberries and warm maple syrup
