when you bite into this french toast you feel like getting out the tiki torches and little umbrellas. Easy, pretty and delicious.

Ingredients

  • 8 - 1 inch thick slices french bread
  • 5 - eggs
  • 1/2 cup half & half ( or whole milk )
  • 1/3 cup mango juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons orange zest
  • 1/3 cup macadamia nuts, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

How To Make mango macadamia nut french toast

  • Step 1
    In a medium size bowl combine eggs, half & half, mango juice, nutmeg, sugar and orange zest. Whisk until well combined.
  • Step 2
    In a small skillet place chopped macadamia nuts, cook over medium-high heat until lightly toasted. Remove, set aside.
  • Step 3
    Heat griddle. Dip bread into egg mixture; coat well. Place on hot griddle.
  • Step 4
    Cook for 3-4 minutes until golden, turn bread over, cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Place French toast on a platter. Sprinkle with toasted macadamia nuts. Top with sliced strawberries and warm maple syrup
