Even people who hate canned tuna and hate tuna casseroles, LOVE this casserole. I've been serving it now for over 40 years and it remains a favorite of my family.

Ingredients
- 2 cans tuna, packed in water
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 1/3 cups milk, 2%
- 1 can sliced or diced water chestnuts, drained
- 1 small chopped green pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 box 8 oz. small macaroni
How To Make world's best tuna casserole

Step 1Mix all ingredients, reserving 1/3rd of cheese.

Step 2Put mixture in a nonstick 9X11" casserole pan or spray your pan with some Pam first.

Step 3Sprinkle remaining cheese on top of casserole.

Step 4Bake uncovered in 375 degree oven for 1 hr. 15 minute to 1 hr. 30 minutes or until mixture is no longer soupy. If after one hour casserole is browned, you can cover with aluminum foil loosely for remaining time in oven.
