Wisconsin residents are crazy about our Friday Night Fish Fries. The two most popular choices are Beer Battered Cod or Broiled Haddock. Beer Battered Cod is pretty self-explanatory. The Haddock is actually trickier to get just right. It all comes down to three things... cooking temperature, seasonings and cooking time. Here are all three. A 30-minute meal that couldn't be easier. Enjoy! How To Make wisconsin tavern-style broiled haddock

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  • Step 2
Melt butter in a small bowl and brush it on the bottom of a 9x13 rimmed pan.
  • Step 3
Add Haddock filets. Brush with remaining butter and sprinkle with seasonings. Place in hot oven.
  • Step 4
Cook for 20 minutes. Then, switch to "Broil", watching carefully, for about 5 minutes. (This enhances and provides a richness to the butter sauce.) Serve immediately.
