This recipe is traditionally made with brown trout but rainbow will work also. The bacon will help the fish stay moist.

Ingredients

  • 4 - whole trout (brown or rainbow)
  • 8 slices bacon
  • - garlic salt
  • - pepper
  • - lemon slices

How To Make welsh trout with bacon

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 350 F.
  • Step 2
    Wash and dry the trout inside and out.
  • Step 3
    Sprinkle inside and out with garlic salt and pepper
  • Step 4
    Wrap each fish with 2 slices of bacon. Secure with toothpicks
  • Step 5
    Place fish in a shallow pan.
  • Step 6
    Bake for 20 minutes or until fish flakes.
  • Step 7
    Serve with lemon slices
