This is our favorite teriyaki sauce with salmon fillets. This would work equally well with chicken, steak, pork chops, etc.

Ingredients For teriyaki salmon fillets

  • MARINADE/SAUCE
  • 1/4 c
    low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    mirin
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 Tbsp
    rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp
    sesame oil
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp
    ginger, minced
  • OTHER INGREDIENTS
  • 1 tsp
    cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp
    water
  • 1 Tbsp
    oil
  • 4
    salmon fillets, skinless
  • sesame seeds, for garnish
  • green onions, sliced thinly, for garnish

How To Make teriyaki salmon fillets

    Mix all sauce ingredients in a bowl.

    Put salmon fillets in a plastic bag and pour over 1/2 of the sauce ingredients.

    Let marinate for 30-40 minutes.

    Heat oil to medium in a large enough pan to cook all the fillets at once. Cook fillets 3-5 minutes on each side depending on the size of fillets, until fillets are done.

    Put the rest of the marinade in a small pan. Mix in the water and cornstarch and heat until marinade is simmering and is thickened.

    Serve fillets with the thickened marinade and any garnishes.
