teriyaki salmon fillets
This is our favorite teriyaki sauce with salmon fillets. This would work equally well with chicken, steak, pork chops, etc.

Ingredients
- MARINADE/SAUCE
- 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons mirin
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger, minced
- OTHER INGREDIENTS
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 4 salmon fillets, skinless
- sesame seeds, for garnish
- green onions, sliced thinly, for garnish
How To Make teriyaki salmon fillets

Step 1Mix all sauce ingredients in a bowl.

Step 2Put salmon fillets in a plastic bag and pour over 1/2 of the sauce ingredients.

Step 3Let marinate for 30-40 minutes.

Step 4Heat oil to medium in a large enough pan to cook all the fillets at once. Cook fillets 3-5 minutes on each side depending on the size of fillets, until fillets are done.

Step 5Put the rest of the marinade in a small pan. Mix in the water and cornstarch and heat until marinade is simmering and is thickened.

Step 6Serve fillets with the thickened marinade and any garnishes.
