An old high school friend gave this recipe to me on facebook lol. She had said she made it for her hubby and it was amazing so I thought I would share it :) I have every intention of fixing myself.

1/3 c
lemon infused extra virgin olive oil
3 clove
garlic, sliced
1 tsp
red pepper flakes
2 tsp
2 lb
shell on deveined jumbo shrimp
2 Tbsp
chopped fresh basil
1/2 tsp
1/4 tsp
black pepper

How to Make Tamarind Shrimp


  • 1Heat oil in a large skillet over high heat; cook & stir the garlic in the oil until translucent. Sprinkle the red pepper flakes and paprika into the oil.
  • 2Add the shrimp and toss to coat. Allow to cook until the shrimp are bright pink on the outside and the meat is no longer transparent in the center, 1 to 2 minutes more.
  • 3Reduce heat to medium-low; add the basil and toss lightly. Season with salt and pepper to serve.
