Look for shrimp that has been deveined to save prep time. I like to completely shell the shrimp but you could leave tails on if you like. This is a nice blend of spicy, tangy and sweet. This increases in heat as leftovers!

  • 1/2 c
    extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp
    cajun or creole seasoning (such as emeril's)
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice, fresh
  • 2 Tbsp
    fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 1 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 1 pinch
    cayenne pepper
  • 1 lb
    uncooked large shrimp, shelled and deveined
  • ·
    lemon wedges
  • ·
    serve over rice with crusty bread

How to Make Spicy Cajun Baked Shrimp


  1. Combine oil, seasoning, lemon juice, parsley, honey, soy sauce and a pinch of cayenne pepper in a 9 x 13 baking dish.
  2. Add shrimp and toss to coat. Refrigerate 1 hour
  3. Preheat oven ot 450. Bake until shrimp are cooked through, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes.
  4. Garnish with lemon wedges and serve with rice and crusty bread for dipping.
