spicy cajun baked shrimp

Look for shrimp that has been deveined to save prep time. I like to completely shell the shrimp but you could leave tails on if you like. This is a nice blend of spicy, tangy and sweet. This increases in heat as leftovers!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons cajun or creole seasoning (such as emeril's)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice, fresh
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1 pound uncooked large shrimp, shelled and deveined
  • - lemon wedges
  • - serve over rice with crusty bread

How To Make spicy cajun baked shrimp

  • Step 1
    Combine oil, seasoning, lemon juice, parsley, honey, soy sauce and a pinch of cayenne pepper in a 9 x 13 baking dish.
  • Step 2
    Add shrimp and toss to coat. Refrigerate 1 hour
  • Step 3
    Preheat oven ot 450. Bake until shrimp are cooked through, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Garnish with lemon wedges and serve with rice and crusty bread for dipping.
