Ingredients

1 lb
boiled shrimp or crawfish
1/2 c
chopped celery
3/4 c
chopped onion
2 clove
minced garlic
1 stick
butter
1/4 c
chopped parsley
2 tsp
cornstarch
1 small
can tomato sauce
2 dash(es)
drops of zatarains liquid shrimp & crab boil concentrate
1/2 c
water
cooked rice

How to Make Shrimp or Crawfish Etoufee’

Step-by-Step

  • 1Melt butter in large frying pan.
  • 2Sauté onions, celery & garlic until tender (5 minutes).
  • 3Add ½ cup water & simmer covered for 15 minutes.
  • 4Stir in shrimp & parsley.
  • 5Dissolve cornstarch in ½ cup water & combine with mixture.
  • 6Add tomato sauce & Zatarains Concentrate.
  • 7Mix thoroughly, cover & cook 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • 8Serve over hot rice.
