  • 1 lb
    boiled shrimp or crawfish
  • 1/2 c
    chopped celery
  • 3/4 c
    chopped onion
  • 2 clove
    minced garlic
  • 1 stick
  • 1/4 c
    chopped parsley
  • 2 tsp
  • 1 small
    can tomato sauce
  • 2 dash(es)
    drops of zatarains liquid shrimp & crab boil concentrate
  • 1/2 c
  • ·
    cooked rice

How to Make Shrimp or Crawfish Etoufee’


  1. Melt butter in large frying pan.
  2. Sauté onions, celery & garlic until tender (5 minutes).
  3. Add ½ cup water & simmer covered for 15 minutes.
  4. Stir in shrimp & parsley.
  5. Dissolve cornstarch in ½ cup water & combine with mixture.
  6. Add tomato sauce & Zatarains Concentrate.
  7. Mix thoroughly, cover & cook 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. Serve over hot rice.
