Ingredients

  • 1 pound boiled shrimp or crawfish
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 3/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 2 dashes drops of zatarains liquid shrimp & crab boil concentrate
  • 1/2 cup water
  • - cooked rice

How To Make shrimp or crawfish etoufee’

  • Step 1
    Melt butter in large frying pan.
  • Step 2
    Sauté onions, celery & garlic until tender (5 minutes).
  • Step 3
    Add ½ cup water & simmer covered for 15 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Stir in shrimp & parsley.
  • Step 5
    Dissolve cornstarch in ½ cup water & combine with mixture.
  • Step 6
    Add tomato sauce & Zatarains Concentrate.
  • Step 7
    Mix thoroughly, cover & cook 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Step 8
    Serve over hot rice.
