  • 1 c
    chopped onion
  • 1 c
    chopped celery
  • 1 c
    chopped green pepper
  • 1 clove
    chopped garlic
  • 32 oz
    can stewed tomatoes
  • 16 oz
    can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 tsp
  • 2 tsp
    thyme, dried
  • 1 tsp
    chili powder, hot
  • a few
    a few dashes of tabascosauce
  • 3 lb
    uncooked shrimp

How to Make Shrimp Creole


  1. Saute the onion, celery, green pepper and garlic in 1/4 cup oil until tender ( about 10 min)
  2. Add the remaining ingredents Except for the shrimp. Simmer 30 minutes uncovered
  3. Add 3 lbs of uncooked shrimps. Cover and simmer 5-10 minutes.
  4. Serve over cooked rice
