Ingredients
- 1 - green pepper, chopped
- 2 - stalks celery, chopped
- 1 - medium onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup finely, diced sweet red peppers
- 3 pounds cooked, deveined shrimp
- 1 cup crab meat
- 4 - hard cooked eggs, sliced
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups light cream
- 1 cup cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 3/4 cup buttered cracker crumbs
How To Make shrimp casserole

Step 1Combine green peppers, red peppers, celery, onion and saute in a small amount of butter or cooking oil; until vegetables are tender.

Step 2Ad shrimp, crab and eggs.

Step 3Melt butter; stir in flour until smooth. Gradually add cream; cook until mixture thickens, stirring constantly.Add cheese, salt and pepper.

Step 4Add sauce to shrimp mixture; turn into a 3 quart casserole.Sprinkle crumbs over top. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes now or you can make a few hours ahead, and heat in a 350 degrees oven until bubbly when needed.
