My dad used to make his dish when he was still alive. He told me he got it from an Army buddy who lived in Louisianna.

  • 1/2 c
    olive oil
  • 2 clove
    garlic, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    cajun spice
  • 2 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp
    lemon juice
  • 1 tsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 lb
    shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 1 Tbsp
    onion powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    white pepper
  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    ground mustard
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    celery seed
  • 1 1/2 tsp

How to Make Shrimp...Cajun Style


  1. In a large bowl, combine the ingredients for the marinade. Add shrimp and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for several hours.
  2. Preheat grill or oven to 350 degrees.
    If griiling, place shrimp on skewers and grill for about ten minutes until shrimp are no longer transparent, turning once.
    If baking, place in a baking pan with some marinade and bake for fifteen minutes, turning once until shrimp is no longer transparent.
  3. Can be served alone or over rice or hot buttered spaghetti.
