I combine the flavors of two seafood favorites into one dish. It's very good and super savory. Enjoy!

butter, divided
3 Tbsp
all purpose flour
1 1/2 c
heavy cream
1 1/2 c
colby cheese, shredded
1 tsp
sea salt
1/2 tsp
grund mustard
1/2 tsp
1/2 tsp
1 dash(es)
cayenne pepper
1 1/2 lb
salmon, skinless filet
1/2 lb
shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 clove
1 c
uncooked rice
2 c
chicken broth

How to Make Shrimp and Salmon with Garlic Rice


  • 1In large saucepan melt 2 tbsp butter. stir in flour until smooth, gradually add cream. bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
  • 2Add 1 cup cheese, salt, mustard, dill, sage and cayenne. Stir until cheese is melted. Remove from heat and stir in shrimp.
  • 3pat salmon dry with paper towels. place in a greased 13x9 baking dish. Pour shrimp mixture over salmon and top with remaining cheese.
  • 4bake uncovered at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until fish flakes easily and shrimp turns pink.
  • 5meanwhile, in a saucepan, saute garlic in remaining butter until tender. Add rice, cook and stir for 2 minutes. Stir in broth and bring to boil. Reduce heat and cook, covered, for 15 minutes or until rice is tender.
  • 6serve rice with salmon and shrimp mixture.
