sesame glazed salmon and green beans

We love salmon in our house. This recipe gives a slight sweetness to the salmon and still lets the flavor of the fish shine. The sweet and sticky sauce over the entire meal is an added bonus.

Ingredients For sesame glazed salmon and green beans

  • 1 lb
    salmon, skinless filet
  • 1 lb
    green beans, fresh
  • MARINADE
  • 3 Tbsp
    tamari
  • 1 Tbsp
    water
  • 2 Tbsp
    rice vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1/8 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    sesame seeds
  • 1 Tbsp
    corn starch
  • 1 tsp
    ginger powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar

How To Make sesame glazed salmon and green beans

    Combine all marinade ingredients until disolved.

    Place salmon fillets and half of the marinade in a Ziploc bag. Marinate for 15 minutes. Don't do it any longer because the salmon will start to deteriorate, it is delicate..

    Clean green beans, removing stems and snapping any long ones to your pleasing.

    Put green beans in a pot of hot water, cover and bring to a boil for about 3 minutes. Then drain.

    Spray a skillet (yes even nonstick) with cooking spray and heat over medium-low heat. Add salmon to hot skillet.

    Cook salmon 3 to 5 minutes on each side and remove from skillet.

    Add the green beans and the remaining marinade to the skillet. Saute beans until the marinade thickens and coats the beans, approximately 3 minutes.
