Ingredients

  • 1 pound ocean perch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 - lemon, cut in half
  • 1 tablespoon basil, fresh chopped
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, fresh and chopped

How To Make sesame fish

  • Step 1
    If fish filets are large, cut into 4 serving pieces. Sprinkle both sides with salt.
  • Step 2
    Heat butter and oil in 10-inch skillet over medium heat until hot. Cook fish about 10 minutes, carefully turning once, until brown on both sides.
  • Step 3
    Remove fish and keep warm.
  • Step 4
    Cook and stir sesame seeds in same skillet over medium heat about 5 minutes or until golden-brown; remove from heat. Squeeze lemon over sesame seeds.
  • Step 5
    Stir in basil. Pour over fish. Sprinkle with parsley.
  • Step 6
    VARIATION: 1 pound cod, trout or flounder can be used in place of ocean perch.
