Ingredients
- 2 large tuna steaks
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- salt and pepper
- EGG YOLK SAUCE
- 4 large egg yolks
- 1/2 cup water
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 teaspoons corn starch
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
How To Make seared tuna steak with egg yolk sauce

Step 1For the egg yolk sauce, beat the egg yolks with 1/2 cup water. Heat the oil. Stir in the corn starch until smooth.

Step 2Add the remaining water and salt. Whisk until smooth. Turn heat to low and gradually pour in the beaten eggs and whisk until smooth and creamy.

Step 3Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice. Set aside.

Step 4Season the tuna with salt and pepper. Add oil to a skillet and sear the tuna for about 4 minutes on each side. Let rest for 5 minutes.

Step 5Slice the tuna and serve with the egg yolk sauce.
