  • 8 ounces fresh or frozen raspberries, thawed if frozen
  • 1 cup rose wine
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon raspberry vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • TUNA
  • 2 tuna steaks
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

How To Make seared tuna steak in raspberry kiwi sauce

  • Step 1
Reserve 4 slices of kiwi fruit. Place the raspberries, kiwi, rose wine, sugar, and raspberry vinegar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer and simmer for 15 minutes. Strain through a fine mesh strainer pushing to get the most liquid out of the fruit. Place the sauce back in the pan and bring to a boil. Mix the corn starch and water. Whisk into the sauce to thicken.
  • Step 2
Dry the tuna and season with salt and pepper. Add the oil to a cast iron pan and sear the tuna on both sides for about 3 minutes per side. Sear on the edges to brown and remove to a carving board to rest.
  • Step 3
Slice the tuna and serve with the sauce. Garnish with a couple of kiwi slices.
