Add to Grocery List

  • 1 lb
    sea scallops
  • 1 c
    white sauce
  • ·
bread crumbs, thyme, onion salt and parmesan cheese

How to Make Scallops St Jacques

  1. Make white sauce (2 tbsp melted butter, blend in 2 tbsp flour, add salt and pepper. Add 1 cup milk {I use skim} and stir until thick), when thickened add about 2-3 tbsp paremsan cheese and some parsley.
  2. Rinse scallops and pat dry. If scallops are really big, cut in half.Place scallops on bottom of a casserole dish.
  3. Pour sauce over scallops, make sure all scallops are covered. Sprinkle with bread crumbs to cover sauce, 1/4-1/2 tsp thyme and onion salt and approximately 1-2 tsp parmesan cheese.
  4. Spray crumb topping with butter or dot with butter.
  5. Bake 400 degrees about 20 minutes (depending on size of scallops)
