This is really good. The sauce is so flavorful and the bread really sops up the flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pound smoked sausage, polish sausage, or kielbasa
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 medium onion sliced into rings
  • 1 pound yukon gold potatoes peeled and sliced in 1/2 inch slices
  • 3/4 cup dry vermouth or white wine
  • 4 haddock fillets
  • salt and pepper
  • handful of fresh parsley chopped
  • juice of 1 lemon

How To Make sausage and fish stew

  • Step 1
    Add the oil to a large skillet. Once its hot add the potatoes, onions and garlic. Cook 5 minutes then add half the vermouth. Place a lid and 10 minutes. Add the sausage and cook 5 more minutes.
  • Step 2
    Season the fish with salt and pepper. Lay the fish on top of the potato/sausage mixture. Pour in the remaining vermouth. Place the lid back on pan and cook about 8 more minutes. Until fish is cooked.
  • Step 3
    Sprinkle the fish with parsley and drizzle the lemon juice over the dish. Serve with some crusty bread.
