Since my hubby got laid off I noticed I have been cooking lentils a lot more - LOL! This is a recipe I invented when my brother-in-law gave us a salmon and I had a bunch of leftover lentils.

prep time 20 Min
cook time 25 Min
method ---
yield 6 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons margarine (or sub butter)
  • 1 1/2 pounds fresh salmon, fileted and cut in chunks (some skin okay) or substitute canned
  • 1 pound orange lentils, cooked to your liking (or substitute brown lentils)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder with parsley

How To Make salmon 'n' lentils ragout

  • Step 1
In a large pot over medium heat, add the margarine and then add the salmon. Cook until opaque, about 5 minutes. Add the lentils and other ingredients and continue cooking until flavors meld and heated through. Enjoy!
