salmon 'n' lentils ragout
Since my hubby got laid off I noticed I have been cooking lentils a lot more - LOL! This is a recipe I invented when my brother-in-law gave us a salmon and I had a bunch of leftover lentils.

Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons margarine (or sub butter)
- 1 1/2 pounds fresh salmon, fileted and cut in chunks (some skin okay) or substitute canned
- 1 pound orange lentils, cooked to your liking (or substitute brown lentils)
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder with parsley
How To Make salmon 'n' lentils ragout

Step 1In a large pot over medium heat, add the margarine and then add the salmon. Cook until opaque, about 5 minutes. Add the lentils and other ingredients and continue cooking until flavors meld and heated through. Enjoy!
