I love this with mashed potatoes and greens but look out! my southern is showing :)

red salmon, canned
yellow onion, chopped
pieces bread, crumbled
1 tsp
salt and pepper
2 Tbsp
minced garlic
1/2 c
1 c

How to Make Salmon Croquettes


  • 1Drain the salmon, place in bowl and crumble the bones into the salmon.
    Leaving the bones in adds flavor!
    Leaving the bones in gives you calcium and treats osteoporosis!
  • 2Add all the other ingredients except flour and cornmeal
    In a separate bowl mix the flour and cornmeal together
  • 3Form patties or balls and roll them in the cornmeal mixture.
  • 4heat oil in cast iron skillet until smoke just starts to show.
    Note: Do not start frying until oil is hot or the patties will soak up the oil.
    Shallow fry the patties in hot oil until thoroughly browned.
