Ingredients

  • 6 dressed trout
  • 1 cup onions, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 cup fresh bread cubes
  • 3 tablespoons pimentos, chopped
  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 3 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 small can mushrooms, drained
  • 1/2 teaspoon marjoram

How To Make rainbow trout with herb stuffing

  • Step 1
    Sprinkle salt over inside and outside of trout.
  • Step 2
    Saute bread in 1/4 cup butter until brown.
  • Step 3
    Stir often.
  • Step 4
    Add onions and mushrooms, cook until mushrooms are tender.
  • Step 5
    Stir in parsley, lemon juice, marjoram and dash of salt.
  • Step 6
    Mix and stuff fish with mixture.
  • Step 7
    Place in greased baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
